TotalSim were asked to present at a conference back in 2009 on the benefits of RANS vs DES based approaches for the optimisation of road cars.
The conference was the VINAS conference Oct 2009 and a sumary has now been added to the library. Although the work was carried out a few years ago the approach and finding can still provide some interesting discussion. Although model detail, mesh sizes and computer resources have vastly changed since the study, the finding of the report still remain relevant.
