Code and Template Update v2.1

TotalSim are pleased to announce a new template v2.1 with an updated set of codes for their CFD process based around OpenFOAM®**.

A number of new features and improvements have been made which are outlined below.

If you are a support customer and want to know more about how to transfer to the latest templates then please contact one of the support team.

The results from testing the new template v2.1, along with a guide on how to migrate from template v2.0 to v2.1, can be found on the wiki.

Some of the highlights of the latest templates are shown below.

OpenFOAM® customisationsUses revised matrix decomposition function.

Addition functionality added to the meshing process to automatically refine regions of curvature and better extract feature edges automatically.

A simple switch to change between non-cornering and cornering flow.

A SIMPLEC solver has been added with faster convergence.

New way to define the averaging interval and added functionality to use force convergence criteria rather than a fixed number of iterations (automatically outputs average data).

Includes ability to export most objects in single precision.

More robust porous jumps for smoother solutions.

Smoother Uwall plotting on surfaces.

Enhanced support for AMI plus associated stability options.

Improved support for rotating/ sliding mesh including tools to improve suitability of meshes from snappyHexMesh.

Latest versions of libraries and bug fixes.

CaseCheck-v2.4.10 Updated to use PostPro-v2.8.5, and additional preChecks
RideHeightChanger-v2.5.0Updates from v2.4.0 to v2.5.0.

Support for cornering flow, and variable tyre squash per corner.

PostPro-v2.8.5Updates from v2.7.9 to v2.8.5.

exportSurfaces has been made more robust.

pMean and UMean can be handled as averaged variables, and added NormalisedU calculation and palette.

AvgRun-v3.3.3Force and monitor averaging updated.

Updates from v3.3.1 to v3.3.3.

Ability to process forcePatchData.txt added in, and bug fix for Multi-Component-Balance not using correct average periods.
