Providing Simulation Services of Real World Fluid Flow Problems using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
We develop, support and consult using OpenSource codes.
We can quickly provide accurate and cost effective simulation of real world fluid flow problems.
Find out how it all began.
1OpenTotalSim are open in nearly everything we do. TotalSim use predominantly opensource codes and will share all of our best practices and procedures. We even have our own wiki for support customers to access.
2ExperiencedTotalSim’s engineers are highly experienced and have a range of backgrounds. Our managing director Rob Lewis has over 20 years of CFD experience.
3InnovativeWe are constantly praised for our innovative solutions and analysis techniques;
“TotalSim consistently provided innovative ideas” Chris Boardman, Director of R&D British Cycling
TotalSim are experts in the use, development and support of CFD.
We have helped clients achieve their goals from winning Olympic Gold to Le Mans.
“TotalSim helped us stay at the front of the field” Victoria Pendleton, Olympic and World Champion
TotalSim are extremely flexible and efficient. We have worked on a large range of problems and have the skills to help you achieve your requirements. We can help you with all your simulation needs.

The front wing of a modern Formula 1 car is a marvel of aerodynamic engineering and ingenuity. It is the result of fifty years of mechanical evolution, and in this case, it is the survival of the fastest. read more →
In March 2016, TotalSim presented the results of their Niche Vehicle Network project at the annual symposium. The project was called AERO-P (Aerodynamic Efficiency Requirements & Optimisation Project) and was carried out with partners Ariel and Delta Motorsport with funding from a grant from the NVN. The project was looking at active and passive aerodynamic devices for.. read more →
TotalSim have been excited to recently take delivery of the VisiSonics Acoustic Camera. This camera allows us to capture and visualise noise and pinpoint noise sources. The acoustic camera consists of an 8‘’/20 cm spherical array of 64 microphones and 5 video cameras. The camera records 360 degree video and sound at the same time. Processing the.. read more →
TotalSim are pleased to announce a new partnership with John Iley of Iley Design. read more →
As many of you will know TotalSim have been lucky enough to work with some of the top teams and manufacturers in the world of cycling. This has ranged from helping manufacturers optimise frame and fork designs to working with teams to minimise drag on their clothing with careful choice of materials and fit. read more →
